Big shoutout to Rina

Big shoutout to Rina, the best trainer! My dog Blue used to be a handful, pulling on the leash and chasing everything. Now, thanks to Dogwise Academy, she's much better behaved. She walks nicely on the leash, waits for me, and follows commands well. I wish we could have done more, but it's good for now. Me and Blue are having a good time together now.

Our trainer, Tressie, was wonderful to work with! She did a great job with Finn, our nervous pup, and gave both him and us strategies and routines to continue training after his time with her. Tressie Transformed My Dog's Behavior!

Honestly, I was quite hesitant about the whole board and train idea, but Tressie kept me in the loop with daily updates. Seeing the progress really put my mind at ease. Highly recommend her!

Theresa worked wonders with my dog. She instilled a lot of good behavior and checked in daily even after my dog came back home. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better trainer. Dogwise was really good and super simple! Setting up and scheduling was a breeze. Luis did an awesome job with my dog, he came back more well-behaved but still with his personality. Taking him for walks is way less stressful now, and I don't feel like I have to avoid other people or dogs.

Great Experience

We trained with Njoud for 4 weeks and saw a big difference upon our dog's return! Still a lot of work to do but we're on the right path now with the support they've offered.

After a tough two weeks with one trainer, Lauren took over and she was really good. She worked with us to take great care of Murphy, treating him well and teaching him lots. She updated us every day on how he was doing. Even though Murphy got sick (not because of Lauren), and had to leave a day early, he's way better behaved now. He walks nicely on the leash and likes his crate. Before, he used to hate it. There's still some things he could get better at, but picking the two-week training with Lauren was definitely the right choice. We think she's great at what she does.

Ryan did a good job! Our dog Pico started the training program with no basic skills since he was a stray. Ryan was clear and straightforward about what we could expect for Pico's training. He kept us updated throughout the process. Pico returned not only able to sit and lie down, but also calmer, able to walk without pulling, and more settled. His new confidence shows in how he interacts with the world, people, and other dogs! Although it was a big financial investment, it has made a big difference for us. Ryan is very skilled at what he does!

The process was smooth for having my dog picked up and dropped off. I only did 3 weeks of training, so my dog didn't fully change, but the goals I had set were followed and the previous training I had done was reinforced well.

Terrible Training Experience – Avoid This Company

We signed up for a two-week training program, which promised pictures and videos. The trainer rescheduled pick-up time three times on the first day, showing up hours late. A few days in, he got sick and only did "socialization," handled by someone else in his house. We had to request photos and videos, which came choppy and short, like they were rushed. They wanted to keep our puppy an extra week, which made us cautious. We agreed the trainer would bring the puppy for a visit to make sure she was okay before completing the extra week. On visit day, the trainer kept saying he was on his way but admitted later he was just leaving his house. We asked for all the puppy's belongings back, deciding not to extend training. The trainer returned her, admitted the training was inadequate, and agreed on a refund. Our housebroken puppy came back urinating inside, had diarrhea, and forgot previous training. Her vitamins weren't returned. The company only offered an extra two weeks of training, which I refused due to the awful experience. Avoid this company and look for a local trainer. They don't have a listed address, making complaints with the Better Business Bureau impossible.

I sent my two adorable 5-month-old puppies to Dogwise Academy for basic training, expecting a positive experience. Boy, was I wrong. They came back looking starved and dehydrated. The trainer tried to blame one puppy for being aggressive and preventing the other from eating, which was a complete lie. They had never shown any aggression before or after this nightmare. During their stay, I barely got any updates. When I finally got my pups back, they were so sick I had to rush them to the emergency vet. They were hooked up to IVs, and needed x-rays. Despite my attempts to get some accountability from Dogwise, they refused to refund the training fees or cover the vet bills. The whole ordeal cost me nearly $6,000, and my pups came back with no training and health issues. I later found out others had similar experiences. Wish I’d checked Facebook reviews before. My advice? Stay far away from Dogwise Academy.

I sent my one-year-old Frenchie to Dogwise Academy, expecting professional care, but ended up with a nightmare. After three weeks, my poor pup ended up in the ER with a slipped disc. Their trainers let him run wild with bigger dogs, and he got hurt. It was heartbreaking to see him barely able to walk, dragging his back legs. And when I reached out for support, Dogwise offered nothing. They blamed his breed, which was just a way to dodge responsibility. It's been a year since that horrible incident, and thankfully, my Frenchie has recovered completely. But the whole experience made it clear that Dogwise Academy is not a safe choice for pet training. If you love your pet, look elsewhere for a responsible trainer.

Disaster

Dogwise Academy is a complete disaster. We sent our two dogs, Blue and Bella, hoping they'd learn some manners. Instead, they came back worse. They didn't learn a thing, and the staff was totally unprofessional. We even got scammed out of our money. The new leashes and collars we sent them with? Gone. They came back with old, worn-out ones and no bells. Our poor dogs looked like they hadn't eaten properly. The trainer told my daughter they were too young to train, so why did they even take them? No refund, no answers. My kids were heartbroken because we had to give Bella away. Avoid this place at all costs. They’ll neglect your pets and steal your money.

When I reached out to them, they denied responsibility, saying my dog was already like that, even though I had messages from the trainer saying otherwise. They admitted the trainer wasn't skilled with my dog's breed and told me to contact her directly. When I wrote a bad review, the owner offered help only if I removed it. After days of back and forth with no solution, I gave up. They ruined my dog and took my money. Avoid this place if you care about your dog.

When my mom's dog came

When my mom's dog came back after a month, she was a mess. She used to be so lively, but now she’s all skin and bones, scared of everything around her. She's peeing everywhere and has become aggressive to both dogs and cats. It's like she's a different dog. Her ribs and hip bones are sticking out, and it breaks my heart to see her like this. I have years of experience with dogs, and this is just unacceptable. She was perfectly healthy before. Whatever happened there, it was awful. They don’t even deserve a single star. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

DESTROYED MY DOG

My dog left mischievous . He came back cujo. Very reactive and traumatized. They dont do refunds and their response was to not take him outside to dr's appointments, parks, or the yard without a leash an electric collar. Get an expensive one and use high voltage or he may not respond. He looked under weight and I honestly dont believe that they fed him til time to come home. Do not use this company. They are unethical scam artists and they will break your dog

Did nothing but not feed her

We only have two things walking better on leash and not to attack the cats and she can do neither. They didn’t do anything but stave her. She came back skin and bones. Her ribs are showing and her back end bones are showing. She is now afraid of everything, she was a happy loving dog and now she very timid. What the hell did you do to my sisters dog. Dog is a pit bull and her name is Jazzy. If I could rate lower I would. Minus 10.
