This was my initial time using misterb&b.

The listing matched well. The host was nice and engaging. I go on a few solo trips annually. I work with a top-tier luxury hospitality firm. I enjoy great employee travel benefits. After learning about misterb&b, I use both apps to plan my future trips. Even if I don't make my reservation through misterb&b, it offers me suggestions for activities in the area that I wouldn't find at the hotel.

Surprised by how good it was

Surprised by how good it was. My first time reserving at Gabriel's holme was really nice. Iam a gay guy with 2 small dogs, and finding a place to stay in Barcelona was not easy. Thanks to a ad, I discovered misterb&b, and I got a room for the night of 10 October 2024. You are doing more than Airbnb did and does today. Great job with the platform, and please keep it up!

Being able to communicate in

Being able to communicate in both English and French with the hosts really improved my first trip experience. They were really nice, friendly, and attentive. Diego and David were excellent hosts for my rental experience. The location was perfect, and the neighborhood felt safe and easy to navigate. My first time in Medellin was truly amazing and unforgettable.

The misterb&b site is well put together with lots of filters to locate a perfectly-suited gay vacation spot! Billing is clear, easy, and the communication module is modern and robust. I've used misterb&b as an alternative to "that other site" and I've truly enjoyed it. Plus, it's nice to connect with and support other LGBTQ+ hosts in cities!

Using the website was super simple. I will surely use it again. Some people complain about the fees, but they don't seem to realize how much the programs and staff cost. If you know how expensive that can be, especially for a smaller business, the fees aren't that bad. Thanks for making my trip planning so easy!

Misterb&b has become my go-to for LGBTQ+ friendly places before any other site. I think it’s important to support other LGBTQ+ businesses for my travel plans. We should back each other now and always. I’ve only had good experiences with the companies and stays.

Discovered a solid host and rental. Less options than other sites. Screening hotels and hotels could be simpler. Got quoted in Canadian dollars but paid in €, slight difference in quoted versus actual charge. Generally decent initial experience here.

This was my first time using MrB&B. It wasn't smooth sailing at first, as my credit card got blocked multiple times. After reaching out to customer service, things got sorted. Now, I've booked a stay in Rotterdam, and Prague is next on my list!

The app and website are pretty

The app and website are pretty straightforward, gotta give 'em that. Loved playing around with the search filters, making the property list do a little dance – narrow here, expand there. But hey, a bit of a letdown when I tried to find places owned by LGBTQ owners, not just allies. Stayed at a couple of hotels from the list, but nada LGBTQ vibes. Thumbs up for the clothing-optional filter – nice touch. Now, the not-so-fun part: tried to change my reservation within 24 hours of booking, and Mister bnb hit me with the "pay in full first" rule. Not the smoothest change dance, but hey, at least I found the beat eventually.

I enjoy Mister Bnb for its added comfort and community feel compared to Air Bnb. It connects people (hosts and guests) who can provide a more personalized experience of the location. For instance, my hosts offered great tips on local spots, including LGBT-friendly ones (like the best gay bar for a drag show haha). One area for improvement is the app and its search feature. The search can be quite cluttered with “partner hotels” or standard hotels that are LGBT-friendly. There might be a filter, but it’s not as intuitive or smooth as I’d prefer (or as seen in other apps). Overall, good experiences so far.

I will use it again.

It helped me find a nice room and a good location at a fair price. The post-booking process, reaching out to the host, and the payment all went smoothly. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the service fees are really high compared to other B&B platforms. I think lowering the service charge would bring in more bookings for hosts.

The company needs to improve security

The company needs to improve security by checking hosts' profiles better. The first host I met had a different photo than in real life. Also, we should be able to tell hosts clearly that we're not interested in hooking up but in finding a safe space for gay people and getting tips.

It's a good platform. But when I checked the gayborhood in my area, it was outdated, showing places that are no longer there! It would also be better if there were more currency choices besides euros and us dollars since it's meant to be used worldwide.

Good experience overall. Everything went as planned. Friendly host and nice place. Booking and check-in were simple. It would have been better to have a chance for free cancellation within a certain period, just in case.
