I appreciate the services provided by Taxrise. Our tax situation was tough, but they've made it a little easier to handle. We're almost done paying all service fees and are about 1/3 of the way through the process, I think. However, we've had issues with the client portal, as it has never worked for us, making it virtually useless. Communication with Taxrise is a bit concerning, with responses taking a few days. Despite these challenges, they have been helpful in addressing our tax issues.

Really bad time... lots of waiting, excuses, not good results and wasted money...3 managers, then a 4th called and said they can't reduce any fees or interest... over 12k in fees, two years late... think about doing it yourself... can't get worse...

COMPLETE SCAM

They took my 1st review down on Google & don't want people to know the truth. Tax Rise is a total SCAM Clearly, a lot of the reviews on Google are BEFORE Tax Rise finds the client a "resolution" or they're straight up fake reviews. Even I was feeling good and at peace after hiring them as well... until they came back with their "resolution" almost 9 months later. In September 2023, I discussed my IRS debt for 2018-2021 totaling around $36,000 with Steve Rodriguez from TaxRise, Irvine, CA. I paid a $350 deposit and $6,000 fee to start resolving my liabilities. Steve promised a money-back guarantee if unable to reduce my debt. Instead of lowering it, TaxRise’s resolution was a $505/month installment plan, which over seven years totals over $42,000. This, plus the initial $6,350, results in a debt exceeding $48,000. Initially, I was already on an installment plan... So, they did not do anything for me that I had not already done myself? They offered a $500 refund tied to a Release Form, waiving further responsibility. I will not sign that. Complete crap. I had requested professional assistance to reduce fees and interest from the IRS. Now unable to access my signed contract, I believe TaxRise requires serious scrutiny and accountability for failing to fulfill their promises and worsening client situations. If they do not make amends for misleading me (and apparently many others) by returning my money, I will continue to spread my story until they make it right.

I regret to say that my experience with Taxrise was a complete SCAM. They assured me of negotiating my IRS debt down to below $10K, but instead, they presented an exorbitant $3500 monthly payment plan that I couldn't afford. They closed my case without my consent and left me feeling deceived after paying $13K. Their communication was poor, and contacting them was challenging. Even their so-called "quality assurance" call was just lip service with no intention to resolve anything. To top it off, they removed my client portal, seemingly to control information and erase records. Taxrise's false promises and deceptive practices are alarming. I strongly advise against engaging with them. This experience has been disheartening, and I am left grappling with an unresolved IRS debt and feeling scammed.

While the person I spoke with was professional, there was an immediate follow-up text emphasizing that they are not a scam, citing their BBB rating. Since then, I've been bombarded with 5-10 phone calls per day. The desperation to "help" me feels like a ploy to earn commissions. I'm skeptical of their intentions and would recommend filtering and reading the lower-rated reviews on this site, as the 5-star ones seem strangely similar.

Considering the hefty investment, exploring alternative solutions would be prudent over continuing with Taxrise.

Total scam! Got hooked into paying $350 with the promise I wouldn't owe the IRS a dime. Smooth-talker Joe put me on hold, came back with a sweet deal – just $350 for their service. Fast forward a week, Joe's back, talking about Partial Payment Installment, then switches to Streamlined Installment, and bam, they drop the bomb – now it's gonna cost over 3 grand to fix my problem! No heads up from the get-go, just a major time and money drain. Save yourself the trouble and hassle, go deal with the IRS directly. These guys are a headache you don't need.

Frantically disputing with my bank as the company dodges calls. A distressing ordeal that's soured my holiday spirit. Steer clear, especially if you're financially vulnerable—total disaster in the making!

Do not make any payments to these individuals. I handed over $4100 and received nothing more than an installation agreement to settle my $16k tax bill. There was no discount, and no penalties or fees were waived. This has proven to be a complete waste of money. I could have utilized that $4100 to directly pay off the IRS.
