To sum it up briefly: We ended up paying double the initial quote after numerous lengthy calls with Randy and Mitch, providing them with details, dimensions, and counts. The scheduling was a nightmare. The movers used wardrobe boxes for everything, leaving open space at the top, which not only inflated the cubic feet in the truck but also resulted in crushed boxes and damage to our belongings. Upon completion, our house was left littered with empty cans, bottles, used rolls of tape and plastic wrap, and untouched packing paper. It's perplexing why they would neglect the packing paper I specifically requested, opting instead to use my washed and folded children's blankets. The absurdity doesn't end there. Today, my husband received the shipment - furniture and mattresses damaged by water, broken items in boxes, missing items, and an overall sense of chaos, as if they haphazardly tossed our belongings into boxes like one would throw raked leaves into a bin. I could elaborate much more, but all those 1-star reviews are accurate. The 5-star ratings must be either exceptionally lucky or, as one reviewer admitted, potentially fake. I am genuinely surprised this company has yet to face legal action from disgruntled customers or government authorities.

Attempts to communicate with Oscar and Emerald were futile; they've completely avoided addressing the issue. Despite promises to assist with a claim, there has been no follow-through after three months. The negligence and unprofessionalism exhibited by this company are unparalleled, leaving me deeply unsatisfied and seeking fair compensation for the irreparable damage done, particularly to a family heirloom of almost forty years. The lack of integrity in their business practices is truly astonishing.

They've rebranded as "American Mover's LLC," but it's the same operation with the same address and info. Initially, I got a quote for $3200, but on the pickup day, they decided to add an extra $1700 due immediately, claiming they'd underquoted me. I was in a bind and had no choice but to pay. To make things worse, they were a week late with the delivery and sprung an extra $1000 delivery fee on me, something not mentioned in the initial paperwork. What was supposed to be a $3200 move ended up costing me nearly $6000. This company can't be trusted – they'll hit you with hidden fees and extra charges every chance they get. Avoid American Mover's LLC (formerly known as Emerald VanLines).

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience with this company. Initially quoted $5,600, but after adding 30 boxes, the price surged by an extra grand. Upon arrival, they claimed it required more space than expected, tacking on an additional $3,000. The total bill skyrocketed to $9,000! To make matters worse, they lacked space for my added boxes, forcing me to hire a separate truck and unload solo after a 4-hour drive. Numerous items were damaged, and the mover threatened to halt the process unless I paid the extra fee – a clear violation. A blatant SCAM.

Names like Larry, Tatyana, Melissa, Mitch, and any other folks you talk to, they're all in on it, looking to squeeze every last penny from you. Even the subcontracted companies they work with are no better. Hindsight's 20/20, but it sounds like renting a truck and hiring some labor would've been a better choice. Cheaper and safer for your stuff, I bet.

This company really disappointed us. Our move got handed off to another company that charged us $7000 extra. They made us wait longer for delivery and insisted on cash payment before unloading. They didn't listen to negotiation attempts and ended up damaging several pieces of our furniture. Even after paying $500 extra to move our baby grand piano, they left it on its side and damaged it. Overall, it was the worst experience we've had, and we won't be using this company again.

Horrible encounter. Strongly advise against choosing this company. Delivery dragged on for 30 days, coupled with excessive charges. Received a soggy mattress, battered TV, and warped dresser. The damages extended to a tool chest and guitar. A litany of replacements is now necessary. Despite persistent daily calls for assistance, Emerald's response is laden with falsehoods. Over 30 call recordings attest to the genuine nightmare endured. Stay away from them!

Zero stars should be an option for this horrendous company. After reading other reviews, it's clear they manipulate prices once you're committed. My belongings arrived damaged or missing, and they even mixed in someone else's items without my notice. To top it off, one mover was caught using substances in my bathroom. Save your time, money, and sanity—avoid this dreadful company at all costs.

This company is a total letdown. The sales rep made all these promises about when we'd get our stuff, but when the time came, it was a full two weeks later. We even had audio recordings of their commitments, but they still wouldn't stand by their word. The result? We're out around $3,000.

I was kinda worried at start, but no need! They packed my stuff real good, felt like a king! Kept my stuff safe till I got my new house. When they brought it all, everything was fine, no scratches! Wish I used movers before, gonna stick with these guys. Thanks a lot!

Had a good experience with Melissa G. She was helpful and made sure all my questions were answered and did a good job getting back my refund when things didn't go as planned. Definitely a good company to work with.

The guy on the phone and the van driver made things easy. The price was fair, they were on time, and very professional. I'd suggest them! If I need to move again, I'll pick this company.

Big thanks to this company for their help with the long week end. Our move would have been a mess without their plans and efficency. Should have hired them for our move.
