Driveway has not delivered

Driveway has not delivered on its promise for registration and plates. On Sept 13th, I received a message from Driveway stating that "the ETA for the plates is 4-5 weeks as of 9/12/2023." On Oct 20th, I was told that I "should be receiving your plates and registration by next week sometime!" On Nov 2, another message from Driveway mentioned that "the ETA provided was 4-5 weeks for plates and registration." My temporary tags are expiring on Nov 21st, and I can't renew them anymore (max 3 months). I've informed Driveway that I need the plates urgently, and they've had 3 months to handle this. Now they are not responding, and after Nov 21st, I'll have a car that I can't drive. Driveway promised to refund my temporary tag fees, but they have only refunded 1 out of 3. To qualify for the used electric car vehicle tax credit, the dealer must submit a form to the purchaser and the IRS at the time of the sale. I've asked Driveway multiple times to send me this information, but they still haven't. This amounts to $4,000, which is not a small sum.

Richard delivered the SUV on time and

Richard delivered the SUV on time and provided a thorough explanation of its features. However, the overall purchase and finance process lacked seamless coordination. Expressing concerns about the car's history, Miguel at All American Chevrolet proved most knowledgeable. The SUV's delivery took longer than expected, and communication regarding a broken mirror during transit was unclear. Cheyenne, the concierge, was patient but lacked complete details. Dawn in finance was helpful, yet questions remain about temporary title and plates for Michigan. Despite uncertainties, the car arrived in excellent condition, and I'm pleased with it.

I was excited at first

I was excited at first when I started my purchase with Driveway. Everything seemed smooth and communication was good. But soon, things took a turn. After the initial updates, I felt like I was chasing shadows. No one seemed to have any info, just vague promises about updates. I kept being the one to reach out, which is super annoying for something so big. My car is just 3.5 hours away in New Jersey, yet no clue on who's delivering it, what company they’re using, or even what number to expect a call from. I need to plan, but it’s like pulling teeth to get any info. Reading about registration issues from others has me even more worried. If they can't handle delivery communication, what’s next? For such a big purchase, this lack of transparency is really disappointing. Driveway seriously needs to step up their game.

So, here's the deal. I

So, here's the deal. I ordered a car through Driveway, paid $1800 for delivery, and it was a mess. First off, there was zero communication when the truck broke down for three days. I had no idea the driver was making other deliveries. They told me the car would arrive on Thursday, but it showed up on Sunday afternoon. Talk about stress! Customer service seemed totally out of the loop, giving me different delivery dates every time. Why isn't there a tracking link for large purchases? When the car finally arrived, it was fine—until I noticed transmission issues. Had to take it to a Nissan dealership since it's still under warranty. And where’s the complete manual? Got a digital one that only shows basic stuff like adjusting the seatbelt. Super frustrating experience.

Selling my car on Driveway.com

Selling my car on Driveway.com was actually pretty awesome. Didn't expect it to be so simple. Getting a quote took like five minutes, just typed in my car’s info and uploaded some pics. After I accepted their offer, things moved quickly. Signing documents was super easy since it was all electronic—no printing or mailing stuff. They handled all the paperwork and sent everything I needed to sign online. The car pickup was a breeze too. Scheduled a time, and they came to my place, right on time. Payment was quick, got the money right after they took the car. Customer service was great too, always there when I had questions. Overall, a really smooth and stress-free experience. Would totally recommend Driveway.com for selling your car!

I was about to give this

I was about to give this review a full five stars, but then Driveway went and sent the check for my payoff to the wrong bank. It actually had me thinking about giving them even fewer stars – a real hassle, you know? My lender was blowing up my phone about payments for a truck I didn't even have anymore. But, I gotta hand it to Chris Savage in customer service. This guy was a real hero. He jumped into action, making calls and sending emails to my lender pronto. He even got on the phone with my lender to explain that it was Driveway's mistake and the funds would be there ASAP. Chris seriously restored my faith in Driveway, and I'd consider using them again in the future. So, thanks again, Chris!

I recently went through the

I recently went through the car-buying process with Driveway and had a mostly good experience. They kept me updated consistently, which was reassuring. However, I did run into a couple of hiccups. For one, even after putting down a payment, the car isn’t reserved until all paperwork is done. I had to specifically ask my rep to contact the dealership to hold the vehicle, which was a bit annoying. Another problem is with the vehicle registration. My temporary tags are about to expire in two weeks, and despite sending all necessary info and following up multiple times via email, I haven’t gotten any response from their side. It’s a bit frustrating, but overall, the experience was fairly positive.

The woman who helped me

The woman who helped me set up my car was amazing! Honestly, she made the whole process so much easier. But I gotta say, there were a few bumps along the way. The loan terms were pretty rough, like, really high-interest rates. And the drop-off process? Not smooth at all. Plus, I didn’t get a temporary plate, which was a hassle. To top it off, the check engine light came on shortly after I got the car. That was a bummer. But despite all that, it wasn’t all bad. Having not-so-great credit is tough, but I appreciate the help I got. Still, it’s hard to give a better rating with those issues. But again, the initial setup lady? She was AWESOME!

Found Driveway.com while browsing cars

Found Driveway.com while browsing cars on Edmunds. Heard they were slow but figured I'd give it a shot. Picking the car was easy, but man, the waiting game was rough. Every step, from buying to delivery, was full of delays. Weeks would go by with no updates; had to push them a few times to get things moving. But hey, in the end, I got a great car that fits my needs perfectly and at a decent price. Maybe I got lucky, but can't complain about the car itself. Overall, the customer service could use some work. If you’re hunting for a new ride and other places don't have what you want, Driveway.com might be worth a look.

I was really let down

I was really let down by this company. I waited three weeks for my car to be delivered after paying my down payment. They never gave me a clear time frame and I had to constantly chase them up. I even took a whole day off work because they said the car would arrive at 9am, but it didn't show up until after 6pm. I missed my daughter's last football game because of this. The whole process was just me calling them every few days to get any kind of update. They kept saying the next step would take 3-5 days, but nothing ever seemed to move forward. Seriously, just go to a dealership and save yourself the stress.

Dealing with Driveway.com was an absolute

Dealing with Driveway.com was an absolute mess. A multitude of people bombarded me throughout the sale, each lacking basic courtesy. The promised truck delivery with a temp-tag never happened, despite written assurances. The lack of coordination between Driveway and the dealership was painfully evident, leading to unnecessary stress. Even after E-signing a purchase and sales agreement, the crucial signatures from Driveway or the dealership are still missing, leaving me unable to prove ownership to the Town Clerk. Opting for a direct purchase from the dealership would have spared me this chaotic experience.

I had the worst experience

I had the worst experience with Driveway. They delivered the wrong car—a basic model instead of the premium plus I ordered. The windshield was broken, the car was dirty, and they didn't provide the temporary registration or plates. I couldn't drive it for over a month. When I tried to return it within seven days, they demanded $1700. After arguing, they finally agreed to take it back, but it took six months! They even messed up my credit, claiming I didn't pay for the car. Now I'm stuck going to court to fix this mess. Driveway is a nightmare; avoid them at all costs.

Selling my 2023 Mercedes C300

Selling my 2023 Mercedes C300 was a breeze thanks to Driveway. LaRon, Anna, and Tyler were the best - super helpful and always there when I needed them. They made the whole process feel smooth and easy, guiding me through each step. I never felt lost or confused, and their professionalism was top-notch. The support I got from them was amazing and made the experience really pleasant. I highly recommend Driveway if you're looking to sell your car without any hassle. These guys know what they're doing and really care about helping you out. Big thanks to the team!

Sold my truck to this

Sold my truck to this company, or at least I thought I did. Filled out all the paperwork, sent my signed title through UPS, and even took a day off work for the scheduled pickup on Monday. Waited all day, but no one showed up. Called several times, got reassured the driver was still coming. Spoiler: they never did. Not a single call or update until I left a message demanding my title back. Totally frustrating and unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy! Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

When I decided to buy

When I decided to buy my truck online, I was a bit nervous, but the driveway team made it a breeze. From picking out the truck to the day it rolled into my driveway, they were there every step. The staff was friendly and super helpful, always ready to answer my million questions. They really went out of their way to make sure everything was smooth and hassle-free. If you're thinking about buying a vehicle online, definitely check them out. Their service is top-notch and they truly care about their customers. Highly recommend!

This service undervalued my truc

This service undervalued my truck, offering only $300 as a trade-in at three different dealerships. To add insult to injury, the dealerships offered me $5,600, exposing the significant disparity. It's absurd to offer a mere $300 for a Cummins Turbo Diesel when other dealerships are valuing it around $5,000. This experience has left me with the impression that this service is taking advantage of people. I've already shared my dissatisfaction with approximately four million people to warn them about this questionable practice.

My husband's attempt to buy a vehicle from

My husband's attempt to buy a vehicle from this company has been frustratingly unresponsive. Despite their stated contact hours from 5 am to 9 pm Pacific time, a call revealed conflicting closing times of 6 pm. Consistency matters. This inconsistency, coupled with a $1,300 price difference from the dealership's website, raises concerns about their reliability. Such behavior is unacceptable for a company aiming for longevity in the business. We're contemplating withdrawing from the deal due to this disappointing experience.

Man, this whole car buying

Man, this whole car buying experience was pretty frustrating. First off, the communication was awful. Tried emailing and texting the agents but got zero responses. The temporary tags showed up a week after the car got here, which was already a problem. Speaking of the delivery, I didn't even get a heads-up. Came home to find the car just sitting in my driveway with a dead battery. To top it off, they just tossed the keys in my mailbox. Seriously, who does that? This was definitely not the smooth process I was expecting.

I recently sold my car

I recently sold my car through Driveway, and it was a surprisingly smooth experience. I just uploaded some pictures and documents, and got an estimate pretty quickly. Once I agreed, things moved fast. They sent over the documents overnight for me to sign, and I had three days to get them back. After that, they scheduled a pickup date. A truck came and took my car without any issues. The whole process was straightforward and easy, without any hassle. Definitely recommend if you want a no-stress way to sell your car.

Buying a car from Driveway

Buying a car from Driveway was such a mess. After I paid, it took over 8 weeks to get the vehicle registered. The 7-day warranty was pointless since the car just sat there for nearly two months. Neighbors kept asking why my new ride was just collecting dust. To top it off, it came without floor mats and a second key fob. When I asked about it, they basically told me tough luck. Honestly, should be called Disaster.com instead. This whole experience was beyond frustrating. Wouldn't recommend Driveway to anyone.

Chatting with David P. was

Chatting with David P. was such a breeze. I decided to sell my car and needed a quote. Within minutes, David texted me back. We hopped on a call, and he broke down the whole process step-by-step, leaving no stone unturned. I snapped some pics of my car, uploaded them, and sent over my documents. Anytime I had a question, David was super quick to reply. He made the entire experience stress-free and straightforward. Selling my car has never been this easy. Big thanks to David P. for making it all so seamless!

I was looking to buy

I was looking to buy my first car, had my eyes on a $13k vehicle, and was ready to put down $2000. Thought everything was good since I got pre-qualified. Guess what? They straight-up declined me. It's nuts 'cause other places approved me for $25k, but their cars weren't even that nice. And this place had exactly what I wanted. I know pre-qualification doesn't mean full approval, but still, felt like a done deal. So frustrating! Feels like they dangled a nice car in front of me just to pull it away.

I recently sold my car

I recently sold my car through Driveway and it was such a great experience. Honestly, I got a better price than what Carvana offered. The whole process was super smooth and convenient since it was all done online. They show you the price upfront, so no surprises there. If you like the offer, you just go ahead with the paperwork. Kayleen, who helped me, was incredibly nice and made the documentation and signatures easy to handle. Overall, I'm really happy with how everything went down.

I just had to share

I just had to share my experience with Driveway. It was so smooth and easy. I didn't have to deal with the hassle of selling my car locally and then stressing over every tiny scratch or potential mechanical issue. The driver who came to pick up my car was super polite and professional. It felt like the whole process was just designed to make my life easier. No headaches, no worries. Just a simple, straightforward way to sell my car. Highly recommend it if you want a stress-free sale.

I just got my hands

I just got my hands on a used 2017 Nissan Maxima, and man, it's like a dream. Only 55,000 miles on it despite having two previous owners. The whole buying process was surprisingly quick and easy. Cheyenne, who helped me out, was amazing. She made everything smoother and easier, couldn’t have asked for better service. Big shoutout to everyone at Driveway. If you’re looking to finance a car, these guys are the real deal. Highly recommend checking them out. So happy with my new ride!

I recently had an online

I recently had an online experience that was surprisingly smooth. Kayleen, a rep I interacted with, was truly fantastic. She wasn’t just professional, but also super friendly. I felt like she genuinely cared about helping me out. It’s rare to find someone who makes the whole process feel so effortless. Working with her was a joy, really. It’s people like Kayleen who make these experiences memorable and worthwhile. If I had to do it all over again, I’d hope to get her assistance.

I gotta say, my experience

I gotta say, my experience with Driveway was pretty awesome. Everything was done online, but it never felt like I was left hanging. The team was super responsive whenever I had to make changes, always just a call away. When I went to pick up my car, the guy there really took care of me and made sure everything went smooth. I felt like they actually cared about making my experience good. Definitely gonna use Driveway again and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a car.

I was super anxious about selling my car online, you hear so many horror stories. But honestly, it went way better than I expected. Got a solid offer right off the bat. Whenever I had questions, there was always someone to talk to, which was a huge relief. The payment came through really fast, like no waiting around. And the best part? They picked up my old car right on schedule, no hassle at all. Definitely made the whole thing a lot easier than I thought it would be.

So, there were some problems with the car after

So, there were some problems with the car after I got it, and I contacted customer service. Kasandra from the post-delivery customer satisfaction department answered my call. She's a nice lady who always responds quickly with patience and respect. I sent her the diagnostic, and then she sent me a refund check very quickly through UPS overnight. So, even though the car had some small issues that took extra energy, overall, it was a pretty good purchase experience.
