Paid for business, but did not get business

I paid in full for round trip business class seats to Greece and Turkey, and I had confirmation from ABC of my seat assignments. Three weeks before my flight, I was told Turkish Airlines had bumped me on my return flight and given no options for an alternate business flight or even an economy flight. I directly contacted Turkish Air and was told that information was incorrect, that there are seats available in business and ABC did not book one for me. ABC did then book me an economy seat on the same airline. I was able to then pay an additional $179 for economy plus, but because ABC made the booking I could not upgrade to business, even if I paid full fare. ABC would have to do it. I was told by three different people at Turkish Airlines that I was never bumped, there has never been a time since I purchased through ABC that all business class seats were taken. My trip begins in a few days, and I’m still stuck in an economy seat while one of the employees appears to be looking into correcting this string of errors and misinformation. If he is able to solve the problem and get me back into the business class seat I paid for, I will upgrade this review to a three. All I want is what I purchased. No more, no less.

Surprisingly, my bank had no record of any payment request. Subsequently, I was informed that the flight was no longer available due to my failure to verify the card promptly. It was suggested that my decision to go out for dinner was the cause, raising questions about why the verification process wasn't completed during my 60-minute phone call.

Despite paying an extra $29.00 for potential price changes within 24 hours, I was left questioning why this didn't apply to increases. The situation was exacerbated by a previously given $50 tip, based on the perceived efficiency that ultimately faltered in handling this issue.

Cathy in Ticketing went back through records to find answers to questions about a ticket I bought 5 months ago. She did a full check and started a refund for another ticket we had to cancel for medical reasons. She stayed on top of it. I was happily surprised by her persistence, keeping me informed and checking to make sure I was happy. Because of this, I recommend AirBusinessClass and will use them again.

Jim, my travel advisor, did a good job, but I must say, the company has some pretty strict practices. They ask for way more information than necessary for a simple purchase. Instead of offering reasonable airfares, it feels like they're on a mission to gather unnecessary details about your credit card. The reasons behind this are quite obvious. I wouldn't suggest dealing with them!

I secured an air business class ticket for a trip to Israel on Turkish Airlines last year. Unfortunately, due to the war, Turkish Airlines canceled flights to Israel and issued a refund. Quoted one price, and then out of the blue, they hit me with a different number. Like, what's up with that? Not the coolest move from this company. Quotes are supposed to be, you know, accurate. Left me feeling a bit misled. Hope they get their act together on the pricing front.
