Damon was super helpful. He talked me through popular models and gave a detailed explanation of how this insert would work outdoors. He was very responsive with good follow-up. Unlike the local fireplace store I went to before reaching out to Damon, he treated me like an informed customer and didn't talk down to me at all. Damon was great and I'll recommend North Country Fire to anyone! Another good thing is how quickly this will come (3-5 business days!) and the price. For this exact model at the local store I visited, it was $2k more (without the driftwood add-on!) and a 6-week lead time. Free shipping and no tax are also big selling points!

North Country Fire was great to deal with from the beginning. They kept me updated on my order and delivered it within 7-10 days. When I noticed some small shipping damage, they quickly sent me replacement parts without any problems. They kept checking in to make sure I was satisfied. It's nice to deal with a company that cares so much about their customers! Dave, who I dealt with, is really good with customer service!

When I called, I immediately spoke to a real person, not an automated system. A guy named Nick answered and was really helpful. I had lots of questions, and he answered them all calmly and politely. He quickly sent me different quotes with various options. I didn't have to wait long for any new quotes. Nick was very responsive. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with the service I received.

Furthermore, the absence of a dedicated technical department for specific queries was a notable drawback.

The logs did not look as realistic as they did in the image, also the logs would not light after installation. Has a bad knob/valve and would not light. I was told they would be sending the part under warranty but haven’t seen or heard anything since.
